It might be pathetic that I actively hunt for statements like this, but when I read such things, I feel this kind of hope and comfort.

Those eloquent words speak from a place that's so non-present in discussion: a place of personally relating to your own life. And in the end, that's the best way to understand someone: to understand that really, they're not so different than you, at their core. His words give me comfort, knowing that at least one out of very few artists in this music which I identify so closely to, actively and vocally support me.
